Our Commitment

At Edison Senior High School, we are committed to maintaining a respectful, responsible, and supportive environment for every student and family. We believe that excellence is achieved when students, parents, and staff work together to uphold fairness, integrity, discipline, and dignity in all aspects of school life.

This Code of Conduct outlines the shared values and expectations that guide our school community, rooted in principles of mutual respect, accountability, and strong character.

Student Code of Conduct

As a student of Edison Senior High School, I pledge to:

  1. Respect Myself and Others
    I will treat my classmates, teachers, staff, and visitors with respect and courtesy, regardless of background, beliefs, or identity.

  2. Practice Accountability
    I will take responsibility for my words, actions, and decisions, both in the classroom and online, understanding that my behavior affects the entire school community.

  3. Follow Rules and Expectations
    I will abide by school rules, arrive prepared, stay engaged in learning, and contribute to a safe, orderly classroom environment.

  4. Promote Fairness and Integrity
    I will act with honesty in academics and relationships, avoid cheating or plagiarism, and speak up against bullying, discrimination, or unfair treatment.

  5. Take Pride in Personal Growth
    I will pursue academic excellence, take feedback seriously, and challenge myself to develop strong character, resilience, and discipline.

  6. Be a Positive Community Member

Parent & Guardian Code of Conduct

As a parent or guardian of an Edison Senior High School student, I pledge to:

  1. Model Respect and Support
    I will engage respectfully with all school personnel and fellow families, and set an example of civility and cooperation for my child.

  2. Foster Personal Responsibility at Home
    I will encourage my child to take ownership of their actions, maintain discipline, and follow school expectations.

  3. Partner with the School Community
    I will maintain open communication with teachers and staff, attend parent meetings, and work collaboratively to support my child’s academic and personal development.

  4. Support a Safe and Inclusive School Environment
    I will advocate for an environment where all students feel safe and respected and will address concerns constructively and promptly.

  5. Encourage Academic Engagement and Accountability
    I will monitor my child’s academic progress, support healthy study habits, and reinforce the importance of school participation and integrity.

  6. Respect School Policies and Procedures
    I will honor the school’s guidelines, including attendance, discipline, technology use, and communication protocols.
