Miami Edison Senior High School Uniform Policy

SHIRTS

“Polo” style shirts that are White, Black, or Red.  Shirts may have a school logo, but not required.  Designer logos, stripes, prints or other styles are not permitted.

BOTTOMS

Khaki, Black or Grey pants, shorts and skorts reaching the knee.  Styles that are not permitted are skirts, dresses, denim, leggings, spandex, tights and sweatpants.  Pants must be worn appropriately at the waist.  The “sagging: of pants is not permitted.

SHOES

Closed toe shoes are mandatory.  Slippers, slides, crocs, or flip/flops are not permitted.

JACKETS & HEADGEAR

Jackets are allowed; however, students are not permitted to wear the hooded portion of their jackets over their heads.  ALL hats, headwear, bandanas, stocking caps, skull caps, scarves or hair wraps will not be allowed on campus or in class.  This applies all gendered students.  Having a bad hair day is not an acceptable excuse.

SPECIAL NOTES

Visible undergarments are not permitted.  Belts are mandatory.  Unless it is a preannounced “dress down day”, jeans or ripped jeans are not permitted.  Hats, caps, bandanas, used as gang-affiliated clothing or accessories are not permitted.
